    Your first AI video

    The Freepik AI Video Generator lets you create videos from a text prompt or visual references. The tool handles scenes, transitions, and animation automatically.

    There are a few ways to start:

    • From an image in your history or recent creations, click the Video button in the bottom-right corner. This gives you two options: 1-click video for an automatic result, or Generate video to open the editor and customize your video.
    • Select the AI Video Generator from the AI Suite homepage

    Generate videos using text prompts

    An easy way to make AI videos is by writing a short prompt. The AI Video Generator turns it into an animated video, scene by scene.

    Go to the AI Video Generator.

    In the text field, type a prompt describing what you want to see.

    Select the video mode that best fits your needs.

    (Optional) If you want to add audio, click Audio and drop or select a file.

    If you want help improving your prompt, click the Prompt Editor button.

    Click Generate video to start.

    Once the video is ready, you'll be able to preview it, download it, or make quick adjustments.

    Generate videos visual references

    If you already have a design or style in mind, use images and videos to create AI videos with consistent results. Here’s how:

    Open the AI Video Generator.

    In the References section, upload one or more assets. Depending on the selected model, you can add a reference image, a start and end frame, or a reference video.

    Add a prompt to describe what should happen in the scene.

    Choose your preferred video settings.

    Click Generate video.

    Use this method to create AI videos from visual references. It gives you more control over the style and is useful for product shots, UI mockups, or designs that need consistency.

    Once done, you can preview, download, or edit the video further.

    AI video templates

    The AI Video Generator includes a selection of video templates to help you start quickly, apply preset styles, and skip manual setup.

    To access them, open the AI Video Generator and click Templates in the top bar. From there, select the one that best fits your project. Templates apply predefined references and settings so you can generate results faster with less manual input.

    Credits and usage rights

    Each generation uses credits, and the amount may vary depending on the video AI models. You can generate and download as many videos as you like. Video downloads do not count toward your daily Freepik asset download limit.

    All generated content is subject to Freepik's Terms and Conditions for AI Products. You're welcome to use AI-generated videos for personal or professional use, as long as they don't infringe on third-party IP rights.
